Saying Goodbye – Euthanasia
Your relationship with your pet is a uniquely special one, where you are responsible for their care and welfare. Sometimes as owners, we are faced with making life or death decisions for our pets and inevitably, the time does come where we are faced with one of the hardest decisions we will ever have to make.
We always fear losing our pets that mean so much to us. Whether the time has come or you are not quite sure that the decision you are making is the right one – we are here to help.
At Foothills, we all know how hard it is to loose our special friends and most of us have been in this emotional situation before. When the time comes to say goodbye, we will make it our main priority that during your pets last moments with you, they feel safe, comfortable and pain-free. We will give you as much time and space as you need, making sure that you can say goodbye in private and with dignity.
We offer compassionate and empathetic euthanasia services in our hospital as well as at your home. We have a peaceful outdoor area with a water fountain, shade and sitting area which is ideal for dogs who don’t enjoy being in the hospital. Here, your dog can relax with you by their side feeding them all the treats their heart desires.
We can also arrange for you to have your pet individually cremated and their ashes returned to you. We use a family owned off-site pet crematorium called Lawnswood. They also have an on-site cemetery or areas where you can scatter your pets ashes. For more information please visit Lawnswood Pet Cemetery.
