Senior Pet Workshop

June is Senior Pet Month at Foothills where we place an emphasis on the importance of care for our beloved senior companions.

Unfortunately, our pets, just like, eventually grow old. As they begin to reach their senior years, they become more susceptible to certain illnesses. As their owners, it is your job to help them ease their way through these years with as minimal pain and stress as possible. As your veterinarians, it is our job to provide you with the knowledge and assistance to do this.

Dr Emily Barrick brings you our Senior Pet Workshop, aimed at educating clients and their families on the signs and symptoms to look out for along with the care and assistance to provide to our ‘old friends’; allowing them to grow old with the grace and dignity they deserve.

Some of the issues to be covered includerenal disease
heart disease     diabetes    dental disease    cancer    arthritis

We will also discuss canine cognitive dysfunction and the behavioural changes that may begin to come about.
